Sunday 1st May - Bring and Share Meeting

Everyone had been encouraged to contribute in some way to the meeting, either just by being there and worshipping, or suggesting a song, reading a verse or two or sharing a thought.

We started with Communion and Nigel read the story of the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. Their eyes were opened when Jesus broke bread with them. Ken shared about how NOT to be distracted when trying to pray and hear from God. He chose the song Dear Lord and Father of Mankind. Tina chose the song This is Amazing Grace. Val shared why she chose King of Kings, Majesty. Mark echoed Ken’s thoughts and said how much the Lord had encouraged him by bringing him to the Vine after a time of difficult trials. Yvonne encouraged us all as she shared her testimony and spoke of the benefits of persevering. Angela shared a lovely prayer which she read again to end the service. We all felt that God had blessed us greatly as we came before Him this morning.
